چکیده
Plant-derived coagulants have exhibited a good potential in wastewater treatment due to their “green” characteristics, high coagulating-flocculating activity, cost-effectiveness, and biodegradability. Nevertheless, research studies focused mainly on bench-scale experiments; pilot-scale full-scale simulations are still limited. Herein, we firstly report study of real domestic textile using Cassia fistula coagulant. The material characterizations Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscope (SEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS) revealed that the natural gum extracted from C. seed possessed rough irregular surface containing molecular weight galactomannan. investigation was initially conducted determine optimal pollutant concentration, initial pH, coagulant dosage coagulation-flocculation process. is an effective for treatment, showing percentage removal 93.83% at volume 30 L 1.17 mg·L−1. Coagulation-flocculation could be efficient primary prior membrane or biological methods meet Vietnamese environmental standards. main mechanisms involve adsorption/bridging interactions via hydrogen bonding electrostatic attraction between negatively charged carboxylate groups positively pollutants.

Treatment of Dairy Wastewater Using Pilot Scale Tricking Filter
A pilot scale trickling filter and secondary sedimentation are used to evaluate the feasibility of this process for the treatment of raw dairy waste. The BOD in the raw waste of 252 to 1200 mg/l is reduced 50-73% by a single stage and a further 17-55% by sedimentation tank. Treatment efficiencies are determined at various waste strengths and influent flow rates. With a loading rate of 5-12 kg B...

The use of amalgamation process to recover gold from mined ores by the small-scale gold miners in the Philippines and other developing countries produces and dispose of untreated wastewater to the receiving water bodies. In this study, a field-scale filter bed system was constructed to treat heavy metal metal-laden wastewater collected from small-scale gold mining site in Paracale, Camarines No...
متن کاملTreatment Efficiencies of the Vertical Flow Pilot-Scale Constructed Wetlands for Domestic Wastewater Treatment
To foster the practical development of the constructed wetlands used for water quality enhancement in Turkey, 2 vertical subsurface flow pilot-scale constructed wetlands were implemented on the METU campus, Ankara, Turkey. Both of the wetlands were planted with Phragmites australis and operated identically at a flowrate of 3 m3.d−1 and a hydraulic loading rate (HLR) of 0.100 m.d−1, intermittent...
متن کاملTextile Wastewater Treatment Using Sawdust as Adsorbent
The role of sawdust in the removal of pollutants from textile wastewater has been investigated. The textile wastewater was treated by using sawdust as adsorbent and then filtered. The various physicochemical characteristics of sawdust treated and untreated textile effluent were analyzed. The maximum percent removal of 37% was observed for total suspended solids while minimum removal of 9% for c...
متن کاملTextile Dyeing Wastewater Treatment
Textile industry can be classified into three categories viz., cotton, woolen, and synthetic fibers depending upon the used raw materials. The cotton textile industry is one of the oldest industries in China. The textile dyeing industry consumes large quantities of water and produces large volumes of wastewater from different steps in the dyeing and finishing processes. Wastewater from printing...
